Olympia International Debate and Speech Championship (OIDSC) is a large-scale international debate and speech competition organized by The Olympia Schools, open to high school students (Grades 9–12) and middle school students (Grades 6–8).

OIDSC 2026 is a competition that students are looking forward to this year, a playground for them to assert themselves as well as learn more new things:

TOURNAMENT INFO

Maximum capacity: 50 Public Forum teams, 50 World Schools teams, and 30 competitors for Original Oratory Speakers, 30 competitors for Extemporaneous Speaking. Registration will close once these limits are reached.

Public Forum

World Schools

Registration opens on August 19
  • Priority will be given to institutional teams (members from the same school). Composite teams (members from various schools) are also welcome to register.
  • Each institution is guaranteed 5 spots in each competition category. Additional teams will be accepted based on registration order and remaining capacity of the tournament.
  • Institutional team registrations must be submitted by a school representative (e.g., teacher or senior student serving on the debate club executive team).
  • Eligible institutional team must include one on-site adult chaperone (fees applied).
  • Team with at least 01 high school member will be counted as an open (high school) team, not a junior (middle school) team.
  • Topic: The United States federal government should enact a moratorium on hyperscale data center construction.
  • Team size: 2 students per team
